The F4A challenge this week is Old McDonald Had a Farm. I was working on the card for the F4A challenge when I saw the WT challenge and decided my barn could work for both challenges. The WT challenge is titled "Let's Warm It Up".
It gets really hot in a barn on a warm summers day so I created a green barn and I also heated up the embossing powder for the sentiment. I know, you probably don't see many green barns, but that is the good thing about art, you can make things in the color of your choice.

Yes, that's one thing I like about art - you can make anything any color you would like. I've got some pretty strange colored flowers in my gallery. The coloring of your barn is spectacular!! I like how you framed it as well. Great job!!

I've read everyone's comments so far - I thought we were getting close to why barns are painted red (most of the time), but alas. Personally, I like the green too and if I had a small farm I would paint it that color. Story alert: Both my husband and I are short, and at one time considered buying a ranch in northern Arizona. We laughed and said we would name it, The Teeny Tiny Ranch. We'd stock our ranch with hybrid short animals that you can get now (we actually talked to many of the 4H folks at the state fair about them). I told my husband we could get him a pony and one of those really big foam rubber cowboy hats and he could ride the range! *hahahaha*
Your card is wonderful - a peaceful piece of rural America on a card.

Nice green barn. You're right they are typically not green but we have 2 neighbors with green barns. However, the your color green better. Cute scene and it's nice that you dared to be different because it looks great.
