This is my card for Lisa's fun WT646 challenge which you will find HERE. It's a wide-open one with loads of options and I hope to find time to play along with another technique some time this week...
For this card, I chose to work with Tyvek, painting it with a pearlescent medium and smooshing Perfect Pearls in. When it was dry, I heated it with an iron to distort it - not the ideal job for the hottest day of the year.
Then I had to think what to do with it...mermaids are trendy at the moment and it's years since I made one, so I pulled out my beads. The pattern is from an old Klutz book. Dream is cut with a Serendipity die, using card with double-sided adhesive on it; then I burnished gilding flakes over the adhesive, and added a couple of coats of UTEE.
Because of the little hole in the Tyvek where it had got extra heat, I thought it would be fun to put something behind it, so I die-cut a few gold stars from glitter card and added them. There's metallic stitching on the blue mat layer and also as a sort of weedy effect on the Tyvek panel.
p.s. - there's an older blog post on Tyvek with some step-out photos on my blog HERE.

I absolutely love your beaded mermaid. Fantastic BG you created for her too. You are right mermaids are very trendy on cards and yours takes them to a whole new level. Thank you for creating such a fantastic card sample for the challenge and for working with heat on one of the hottest days of the year.

Wow, Sabrina! This is fantastic. I've never heard of Tyveck, looked it up and am so impressed you used it for a card. The beaded mermaid is marvelous. This must have taken you quite awhile to make!

Sabrina, you must have had so much fun creating this card! Especially impressive is that you made the mermaid; her flowing locks define the watery gracefulness of her dreamy domain. How cool and creative to work with tyvek, too.

WOW you are really stretching the mixed media label using that tyvek (maybe I should use that for a MM challenge..oh no that might require a trip to Home Depot!)...how creative! It really gives this a dreamy feel as the word on your card indicates. Love the bead work and the gold stitching!!
