The hardest thing about it was gathering the materials (I had to buy them) and learning how to fill the torch with Butane. YouTube is a wonderful thing when learning how to do something like that.
The next hardest thing was kind of easy--overdoing the heat. After you've done a few, you get the hang of what to watch for and you don't overheat it as often. Remember what it was like learning how to do heat embossing? I burned a bunch of cards before I learned what to look for. Same with this--only you don't burn them, you just lose the most exciting color and it goes dull (like the middle leaf on this card.)
And like heat embossing, I got really excited when I started playing with this and used the whole sheet in one evening. Oh what fun! I will be posting a few more cards, but most of the sheet went to duplicating one card that I really liked (which I shall post soon.) Almost all of the guys on my birthday list will probably be getting one this year.
I heated the copper sheets on my flat cooktop--just be careful to move around and don't overheat one spot.
