Once in awhile, I get the urge to get out of my comfort zone, use techniques and products which I normally won't use and make something different and artsy. So today I took out the few Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist and the glitter gel pens that I have AND I also decided to put aside the stamping tool and used the acrylic blocks instead to stamp. The stamping tool is great but it takes out the fun of imperfect and spontaneous stamping and today I wanted anything but that.
I started the card by the stamping the flower and bees first. I did this because I wanted to try the Rubber Cement I recently got. Once the mask was dry, I made the background with the sprays. I have 4 colors and all are really dark. So I first sprayed them on a large acrylic block and diluted it with water. Next I used this block to transfer the color to the card base and let it dry.
After removing the mask, I used glitter gel pens to color the images. On the lower bee I used marker. Lastly I used black and white pen to doodle, outline and write the sentiment. Used wink of stella on the sentiment and finished it by attaching on the pink card base.
This card is filled with shimmer from the sprays, gel pen and the wink of stella and looks really pretty. I should make such cards more often. The whole process was spontaneous and carefree and I Loved It!
