My card for this weeks F4A387 - Winter in July challenge. Thank you Robin for hosting. I love creating Christmas or winter styled cards so this challenge was perfect!
My card was created with Military families in mind. And the focal point of the card is two-fold. The door and the sentiment, "Welcome Home". For the member and his/her family nothing says "home" like the sight of open arms. To many Christmas holidays are spent away from those they love. Bound of love and duty for country and home, they serve faithfully -- Welcome home, we've missed you!

Thank you so much, Claudia. I know I shred a few tears creating this card remembering the years we spent away from home. I still cry through the song, "I'll Be Home for Christmas." Thank you for your visit.

This is a beautifully crafted card...clearly made with love and such a genuine story behind it. I can almost hear Bing Crosby singing "home for christmas" in the background!
Beautifully photographed as well! into my faves folder!

What a besutifully watercolored card, Susie, and I love the lsyoit. Thank you do much for sharing your thoughts in the write up. We can't thank our service familes enough. My dad always told the story of coming home from WWII on Thsnksgiving...it was a special holiday in my fsmily. He had been critically wounded and almost did not have that homecoming. Fsved.

Susie, this is so beautifully made, and I also love your description! We cannot thank our military and their families for all they do for us each and every day of the year! And I am so blessed by them all and thank God we live in a country that has such a brave military! Hugs! xoxo

Thank you for sharing your lovely story Susie. Your cards are full of heart, I could spend the longest time in your gallery. That beautiful Chritmas song is happily playing in my head!
