This is my card for the letter R alphabet challenge for Rose. The double challenge was to make it with a splash of red. When I started out water coloring this rose, I thought I was going to get a bright pink bloom using Fuschia color burst powders, but it is actually more red. I added some orange color burst powders to some of the blooms to add a little color variation. The leaves were done in Lime Green color burst powders. This rose is actually part of another stamp that has a vase attached so I cut the vase off and the leaves too so I could place them in a better position. Here is a pic of a card I made with the original stamped rose image: Anniversary Rose by Art Deco Diva at Splitcoaststampers. I did some selective cutting on the SU striped scalloped die too so it wasn't just in a rectangle shape. I really love red and gold together and after adding the gold thread behind the rose, I knew I needed some other gold accents too. I saw a card very similar to this on Pinterest, but I could not find that image again so I am not able to give credit to the original designer. I sure had fun making this though. Thanks for looking. ~Karen.

STUNNING! Wat a magnificent rose and magnificent color combo. Rose is a standout due to the SU striped scallops...so enhanced with the Striped Scallop bg and gold. Love the gold mat layer with the large border and the stripe under the rose, gold metallic thread, and stripe under. Very prett case

Beautiful. Love the red rose on the white. It really pops. The partial die-cut is a nice touch. Love the gold thread. Really terrific. Love the gold heart. Right on for Letter R. TFS
