This is the card I made for my brother's 75th birthday. He loves to sail! I haven't uploaded in quite some time so hopefully this will be the first of a new stream from me! This is also my first attempt to use pan pastels. I do like the way it turned out. The birds are drawn free-hand with a gel pen. Thanks for checking this out!

Beautiful card for your brother with the sailing scene. Your work with the pastels is exquisitely done....at first glance, I thought perhaps you had used watercolors.

Welcome back Eileen! I would say you are back with a bang my friend! This is a stunning card I know your brother will love. The dark frame really showcases this sailing scene perfectly. I was quite surprised you used pan pastels because I thought this was water colored. You did a fantastic job with the pastels. I love everything about your card and I look forward to seeing more of your work! Hugs! ~Karen.

What a beautiful card, Eileen, and I also thought you had watercolored it! Beautifully done with the pan pastels. Your brother will love this with the lovely scene. I especially love how you've added the waves coming into the beach. Hugs!

Love this card! That SU sail boat image is the one that inspired me to get the one I uploaded today. Your background is beautifully done. Love that shaft of light coming through the sky!
