I made this card to share on the Art Neko blog this week.
I used the Faux Leather with Masking Tape tutorial for the base layer - I think it suits oriental-style stamps very well. In fact I ended up also dry-embossing it with a vine folder and then buffing some gilding wax over it round the edges.
Main image stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine Black and coloured with Inktense pencils. I sponged round the edges, and then masked off the pear and spattered it with some gold Twinkling H2Os. All panels were edged with a black pen, and the image panel is popped up on foam.

Your faux leather bg provides a wonderful base for the two other layers. The lighter colored middle layer of gingko leaves is a lovely contrast to the "leather". And the detailed design in the pear is fabulous...WOW beautiful card!

OH my friend..missed you....how was your trip? What a wonderful pice of art to come back and see in your gallery. So many neat things about this. I love the idea of a stamp inside a stamp...hmm..might have to try that, and the sponging and touch of black edges perfect to frame the neat pear. Super job on the faux, leather bg...thanks for sharing...HUGS....:0)

Sabrina, this is GORGEOUS! I absolutely love the color scheme and really love the rich texture of the faux leather. It's stunning, and I really admire your mixed media talent! I've not made it there yet...ha! But truly, this is a beautiful card, my friend! It's so nice to see you back, and I trust that you and DH have a lovely and refreshing time. Hugs! xoxo

Stunning card, Sabrina! You have such an eye for the perfect layout to showcase images. The faux leather bg is marvelous, another technique I'll have to try!

As always Sabrina, this is remarkable. I love the faux leather background paired with the ginkgo leaves paper and then the stamping of the beautiful pear ... Wonderful!
