I am thrilled to do a challenge "in the day of" the challenge...that's a big deal for me! When I saw these colors, I immediately thought of using a new Penny Black die that would work with a Scripture verse. A few months ago, I won the entire Stamp Simply spring release. Wow! I was thrilled and have been using them on some cards that I make duplicates of (like the Graceful Still Life card I made). I have been coloring them and adding different sentiments and Scripture verses on them. I've needed to build my stash and get some cards in the mail.
Anyway, I used this pretty new Penny Black die and used the Mini MISTI to stamp the verse. Then I trimmed it to the right size, and I adhered the Pool Party to peek out from behind the die. I matted that with Lost Lagoon (my substitution for Emerald Envy), and I adhered it to my card base. I added silver rhinestones and then "perked up" the little petals and leaves of the die. I passed on dessert.
Thanks so much for taking a closer look at my card, and thank you, Barbara, for a beautiful color selection. I hope all my U. S. friends are having a beautiful Fourth of July! We are so blessed to live in the United States!

Stunning card, Cheryl! The die is so pretty and the technique unusual. The MISTI stamped the verse perfectly. A lovely card! I'm so glad you like this week's colors!
