I am your hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and I am helping you—and myself—get a jump on Christmas! The dessert option this week is "Christmas in July." The colors are Tranquil Tide, Silver, and Pool Party.
My two projects this week are the product of much study and experimenting with my new Scan n Cut 2 electronic cutting machine! I love that thing! I've watched several videos made by an amazing woman in the UK. She showed how she created a cut file for this little box. While I followed her method almost exactly, I created the cut file myself, both for the box and the pieces of DS paper. The box is 4" x 2" x 2".
I punched the circle, and die cut the silver snowflake. Tied it up with a silver ribbon and called it done! This box will be perfect for small treats at Christmas!

This is gorgeous, Barbara!! Wow, I just love the elegance of this -so, so pretty!! I love how the ocean tide looks with the pool. But I am surprised, because when I looked in the catalog (I don't have it), it looked a lot greener - it sure would have been easier for me to sub a different color - oh well!! Your project is fabulous!

Oh my goodness, this little treat box is exquisitely done! The gorgeous snowflake resembles a filigree charm and again, the colors are just fantastic together.
