hi there,
This week, I have the pleasure of hosting the TLC challenge that I'm calling 'Do a Double Take'.
I am challenging you to use 2 different stencils on your card front and layer them in some way. I used my first stencil to do a mono print and the second one to stencil with.
Hope you will play along! http://snippets-karen.blogspot.ca/20...e-take_26.html

Fabulous combination of stencils! The design and colors are so artsy, especially with the black stamp overlay, and so perfect for your sentiment choice. Love it!

What a beautiful card, and what a fun challenge to try! Since I have purchased my Distress Oxide inks, I have really started doing a lot of stenciling. Stenciling is something I watched my grandmother do. She had these layered stencils of flowers that she would stencil different pieces of in layers of color. She did it on fabric and made things like table linens and such. They looked much like the multilayered stamping of today. She used those little stencil brushes with the straight chopped off bristles. I don't really know what ever happened to those supplies and stencils after her death.
