This is my 2nd sample for CC640. I am your hostess and I have chosen real red, dapper denim, smoky slate and whisper white for the color palette. Dessert Option this week is something patriotic.
For this card, I did something a little different than my usual style. I have been seeing lots of patriotic cards on Pinterest using the Stampin'-Up "work of art" set. Here is one of those cards.
I don't have that set but I thought the "sheltering tree" set might work. So that's what I used and with the help of my MISTI I was able to stamp the flag and flag pole. For the vertical part of the flag, I used the "brushstroke" stamp set and stamped in dapper denim.
My sentiment is from SNSS "patriotic cocoa" set. Cut a few stars and scattered them around the card to complete it.
Hope you can play along with us this week. The gallery will be bight and beautiful.

A departure for you, no doubt about it, Mary! What a fantastic abstract card--just a hint of color, and the viewer knows instantly what she is looking at! True art! Love this!

Love the overall design and your "swipe" marks in the bg - really adds to the artistic look! By the way, the link to the other card did not work for me.

Another wonderful patriotic card! I love the way you created the flag and the sentiment is just great. You've made some amazing cards for this color challenge.
