I went with https://www.washiarts.com/marbled-ko...-karen-perrine as my inspiration. I wanted to try out new Oxide inks and thought this would work. I sponged the inks on a gray cardstock and spritzed with water..then spritzed with distress stain in silver. I then stamped the hearts and branches with the same distress oxide inks (full strength, did not spritz after that). I outlined some of the motifs with a gel pen. I wanted to use white but my white pens were toast! I'm still deciding if I like it or not....kind of experimenting with those oxide inks....TFL!

Oxides are a different animal than original Distress for sure. But I think this is successful. The BG has a nice soft look to it, and the color palette is very pretty!
Hear you on those gel pens. I almost feel I have to put a date on my calendar to write with every one of them once a month or they just go kaput.
