I am your hostess this week and I have chosen tempting turquoise, pumpkin pIe, crushed curry and for dessert: treats of summer...Feel free to interpret this dessert loosely! For this card, I consider relaxing in a spot like this one of the treats of summer!
I started by die cutting a white panel with the Snow Drift Cover die and then I took each of the negative pieces and sponged them either to look like sand, water, or a sunset (I masked for the sun). On the 2 sand sections, I also stamped the splats from French Foliage, and on the water sections I splattered with water and with diluted white acrylic paint. Then I removed the mask for the moon, and put these pieces back into their spots in the snow drift die which I had placed upside down, so I could then put dimensional tape on the back ( I also flipped over the sponged panels of course).
I cut a black cs panel to fit my card front, and attached that. Then I flipped over the panel with the scene and dimensionals and attached to the card front - it gives the card a nice heft, which I love. Embossed the sentiment on black cs, and die cut and attached the chair, birds, sentiment panel and sailboat. Very happy with how this turned out, and I think it can work for a guy as well as a gal!

What? No ice cream on this one?!?! Just kidding, this scene is truly a summer delight. Love the wavy background, the shaded scene and the beach chair, just waiting for my body to settle in! Love this!

I love the way you used this die and sponged the colors for this terrific beach "treat". You have made these colors work perfectly for this scene. I just love it.

Wow, this is an amazing creation! The sponging is phenomenal with the gradation of color and the snowdrift die was a fantastic choice of design. Such beauty and visual interest comes from the subtle stamping and spattering. The black silhouette embellishments are the quintessential finale to this gorgeous card!
