Barbara is our hostess this week and she has chosen sweet sugarplum, daffodil delight, wild wasabi and for dessert: bling. I had to sub DI inks for the Wild wasabi and Daffodil because I knew I was going to need to sponge the bg. I did sponge the sugarplum and I have to say it worked quite well.
Die cut a stitched frame and set aside. On card front I sponged the bg scene, using a mask for the sun, then stamped some grass over the green sponging. I took a little artistic license on the color of the flamingo, but I like how it turned out! Triple stamped the die cut flamingo, sponging ink on the stamp for the first layer (creates a lighter color), full strength for the second layer and black for the top layer. Stamped and fussy cut the flowers and leaves for a little extra tropical feel for the corner of the frame. Stamped some flying birds and assembled – dimensional tape under the frame and flamingo and flowers. Added the stickles for some bling!

Wow, Oh Wow! The purplish flamingo looks like it is just darker because it is dusk in your fantastic scene. This sunset and all of the elements of the scene are so creative and superbly done!

This is one gorgeous tropical scene. Love the sponged background and the way you have framed it too with the stitched die. Frosty and freezing here tonight - so I would love to be there in the tropics on that lovely beach.
