Finally got a chance to play with my Doodle Flowers set from MFT. In keeping with my goal to try and make multiple cards while I have a set out, I made both this version and a smaller (3.75" square) version. The only difference is the size of the outside framing. I like them both, but prefer the look of the wider frame on this one.
Stamped, colored and die cut my flowers. Cut a 2nd (blank) flower for dimension. You can't tell on the picture, but I covered the small flower centers, the inside part of the large flower petal, and the centers of the medium sized flowers with Wink of Stella.
Die cut my smiley emoji (twice) and the black circle to go under them. Used glossy accents to layer them together before adding some Wink of Stella over the top layer for added shine. Attached to the large flower to create a new flower center.
Cut a panel of diamond bling Bazzill cardstock, 1/16" smaller than 3.5" mark. Cut a second panel to layer and add dimension. Put into my MISTI, got an idea where I would position the flowers then stamped the sentiment (MFT).
Cut a panel of black Bazzill cardstock, 1/16" larger than the 3.5" mark. Assembled the card. Added some white dots to the medium sized flower using a gel pen. Added 3 star sequins for a touch of extra bling.
IRL it is so sparkly - hate that the camera doesn't capture it.
This card will go in my Send a Smile pile for the church shut-ins. The smaller one will go into the nursing home stash.
