This is for the Technique Challenge – Smack Down. This frond stamp was out already, so I tried it for the technique and loved the results. I thought it looked like a field where one might see butterflies. I lightly sponged white paper with the butterfly color, then stamped it in same color, and punched it out. Stamped the antennas and attached the butterfly with wings bent up. I didn’t want to cover up the results of the smacking, so I only used two butterflies. Happy Birthday was stamped at bottom. Finished off with Wink of Stella to wings. I will do this technique again. TFL

Gorgeous!! It reminds me of summer holidays in Donegal, in the north west. The bracken used to grow taller than us in the fields behind the house, and looking at this I can almost smell that particular aroma. The technique has added a wonderful depth of shading to your meadow - and the butterflies are so pretty in it. Glad you enjoyed the technique - seeing the uploads in the gallery has given me a couple of ideas I'd like to try out with it myself.
