My last card for the April Christmas Card Challenge, to use a critter on our card! O.k., I know that polar bears don't roam around in the woods, but I'm using artistic license here! :-)
I stamped the trees from the White Christmas SS onto the star background CS from the Winter Frost CS pack, using the Mini MISTI. I left the trees in place on the MISTI, and stamped them again on a piece of Whisper White CS. I stamped the bear from the SS onto the WW CS, between the trees. I fussy-cut along the "snowbank", and layered this WW CS piece onto the Winter Frost stamped piece. Using the grey colored pencil, I lightly colored "shadows" around the bear's feet, and along the curve of the snowbank & the bottom of the trees (it's hard to see that in the photo, sorry...). I also colored in the tree trunks.
I ran a piece of WW CS thru the Cuttlebug, using the Swirls EF. I fussy-cut a curving snowbank along the top edge, and layered this with dimensional tape to create some depth.
Stamped the sentiment onto a strip of WW CS & cut a banner. Adhered some washi tape to a piece of the light blue CS from the Winter Frost pack, & layered the sentiment banner over that. Added a blue brad to the banner. Adhered it to the finished panel with dimensional tape. Adhered the finished panel to a piece of the light blue CS, & adhered to the card front.
A bit of a "fussy" card, but it was fun to see it all come together!
