A friend of ours commissioned me to make this card for her to give their postal carrier. Our friend has a guide dog who is a black lab, and so she wanted me to incorporate a black lab & mail on the card. I had to find an image of a black lab online, since I don't have any such stamps. I printed one out onto copy paper, and traced it onto a piece of white cardstock with the help of my lightbox. I used the photo as a guide for coloring, and added in green strokes for grass, to ground the dog. I generated the greeting in Photoshop, and printed it directly on the panel before using an oval die & partial die cutting to cut the curve at the top. I stamped envelopes from "Sending Happy Thoughts" onto more cardstock, and fussy cut them. I used a craft knife to cut the dog's mouth a bit, so I could have an envelope hanging out of it. Then I glued the envelopes down. I stamped the border, also from "Sending Happy Thoughts," once in red, then shifted my cardstock over, and stamped it again in blue, to mimic an airmail marking. I cut that into a strip, & adhered it to the bottom of my card front. Our friend really liked it when I described it to her, and hopefully their postal carrier did as well!
