I tried out the 3 new Distress Oxide inks I got on this card..they are fun...really blend well and they stay wet a long time. I sponged two colors on the bg, then applied a stencil and used the green through that. I added some extra elements with bubble wrap and a leftover circle insert from a tape roll. I also added some gesso through another stencil here and there. I doodled around the edge and the circles and added some green enamel accents. The boy and his dog are stamped on glossy using stazon ink.

Love this BG! Yes, the Oxides are very different and lots of fun. Great photo image and you got a really super clear image. Fun card!

Polly, so glad you decided to play today! Your bg is marvelous and has me itching to try some new techniques. Love that vintage image. You are the queen with photo stamps, my friend! I think we had beagles at about the same time. Ours was a rescue named Fritzie. She loved my mom and me but wasn't so keen about the guys. Thanks for playing in the challenge and treating us to a great example of the love between kids and pets.

Amazing image, it really does look like an old photograph. Sounds as if you had great fun making the lovely background. The texture from the bubble wrap looks especially cool. looking forward to trying the oxides, but they are an anniversary present so I can't open them yet :-(.
