As you can see there's a lot going on on my LO I had an idea on where I wanted this LO to go and I wonder whether I should have just run with my original idea on the plain mint green bazzill cardstock...oops!
The trouble with me and mixed media is that I never know when to stop. Fortunately for me flowers were part of the challenge for this LO and they came in handy covering up areas I didn't like LOL.
This National Race stops our nation...exactly for 2 minutes every November LOL. This LO shows our son and his friends who went to the event a couple of years ago, all dressed up and looking dapper
I printed some photos from the day off the net and fussy cut them out so I had a background of the horses running in the race. The winner (with the green hat) was a female jockey....girl power as well as flowers
After plastering gesso on the paper, and trying to give an ethereal look to the horses, I used paste and a flower stencil. Out came the gelato's and I painted some of the flowers trying to give the effect of draping the horses. It didn't work LOL.
Patterned paper torn and photos stuck down. Rub-on added and lots of flowers....lots .
It's a busy LO but I figured so is the event LOL, and even men can have flowers.
Thanks for looking and have a happy day

Wow, Jayne, you totally rocked this challenge! You are so right about the busyness contributing to the excitement of the event, you could not have said anything on the layout to make the viewer really feel how amazing this must have been. Perfect job with the event memory keeping here!
