Welcome to the May Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge. Yep, May.... can you believe it? This months challenge is all about the Tree. Most of us, this the centerpiece of Christmas or at least Christmas morning. Create anything from the tree itself, to greenry and garland, to the star on the top down to the lights. Have fun with it. Last year I really wanted to go up into the mountains and chop down a tree for the first time. Time did not allow for us to do that but this year I plan to try again. My card didn't quite turn out how I pictured it but you get the idea. I wanted that first dusting of snow look and feel so I have sponged white ink on the die cut trees. Then the image (retired) is stamped on kraft cardstock and colored with Prisma colored pencils. I added hints of white to look like fresh dusting with a tiny tiny touch of sparkle. Some faux stitching and voila! Hope you can play along this month. Have a great day.

Oh, Stacy, this is beautiful, and I agree with Brenda...makes me ALMOST want Christmas again...hehe! But I'm not ready yet and don't want any cooler weather. But what a wonderful scene and beautiful coloring! Just love how you've added the other trees and "stitched" your sentiment and band at the bottom. Love it all! Thanks for a great challenge this month. My goal is to try this one...hope, hope, hope! Hugs! xoxo

I just discovered this challenge. How awesome, so I'm going to try to do a card each month with the incredible DD! This card is gorgeous, so warm and I love the rustic feel. There's a special art to creating on craft and I really love this.

I love this. Kind of reminds me of the Leaningtree brand of Western Christmas cards. Love the layout and the group of diecut trees in the foreground. Good luck on getting up there this Christmas to harvest a tree.
