This week's Featured Stamper is Kelly Santi, AKA MiamiKel4. What a fun gallery! I added so many of Kelly's cards to my favorites but when I saw this one: Retro Girl! by MiamiKel4 at Splitcoaststampers
I knew that was the one I wanted to CASE because 1) I love its fun look and knew I had a retro girl stamp somewhere very similar to it and 2) I had been meaning to dig up retro girl and the sentiment to make a card for the Friday Free for All "Odd Words" challenge from back in the beginning of the month! So I got to do both.
I made a card from cream cardstock. It is landscape but opens on the left edge instead of at the top. I attached a strip of the pattern paper (which really reminds me of wallpaper in my grandmother's kitchen from long ago). I edged it with light orange rickrack and added the two green buttons. For the images I stamped both the girl and the sentiment on the cream cardstock. I colored the girl with pencils and fussy cut her. I stamped the sentiment and used an oval stencil to make the shape and cut it out. I sponged a mix of light blue and pesto green ink (and a little pinkish got in there somehow) trying to match the aqua in the "wall paper". Attached image and sentiment with foam tape.
Hope it's been a great week, Kelly, and congrats on being the Featured Stamper! TFL!
