I've realized that I don't have any anniversary cards, so I made two this morning. Using the pretty picture that Dawn gave us for inspiration, I stuck with cake and flowers and used the colors of the photo. Pretty straightforward. I just kind of stamped, cut, colored, fussy cut, paper pieced my way through the card. And then added some dew drops on the roses with Glossy Accents. Then I picked up the card and smudged one of my dew drops. Oops! My mom says this one's boring too. I'm making her sound really mean today, but I appreciate her candid opinions. So I tried to jazz it up with sequins, but I just wasn't feeling it. I think my issue with this is that the cake is very small compared to the flowers.

This is great Jen....the cake is not too small...I think the bold colors of the cake and flowers combined with the bold larger sentiment work well together! That cake is pretty darn cute with those flowers on it ;)

Oh, I think your card is so pretty. Love the sentiment and think I'll need to put it on my list of "wants".

No the cake isn't too small it looks like the cake is on the background and the flowers on the foreground, but I like it like this and I really love your coloring!!

Don't you hate it when smudges happen and you have to regroup!! Larger cake would work, but I like this as is. Ignore the remarks fro the "peanut gallery"!
