This is for Lisa's Tickle challenge to show dancing or dancers. This stamp always cracks me up..it's from Edward Gorey (who did the Adams Family illustrations)..and he's known for his unusual drawings. When you first look at this ballet dancer it almost appears that she has 3 legs...that scarf on the left side sort of looks like she has one leg lifted as in a ballet pose. I purposely colored the scarf a pale pink to give the illusion of a pale skinned leg...lol...Hope you like it!

Lovely way to set off this charming EG image. The print on the border is great against the BG print, and the German scrap is just the perfect detailing. Love it!

You are so clever to color the scarf to look like a pale leg. Fantastic image, beautifully colored and super STUNNING card!!! I just love this for the dance off contest. Thank you for joining in on the fun with this great card.

Well, you tricked me there with the faux leg for a second. (I mostly know Gorey for the opening credits to the PBS Mystery shows. It's kind of amazing they haven't changed the intro in all these years, and it's always fun to watch.)
I like how the dark green scallops mimic the curtains around the stage, too.

Nice dancer, I envy her standing on her toes. I like the dies you used to frame her. It's as if you made her, her own stage to perform upon. Lovely card.

Yes!! I did think it looked like three legs on first glance, so your ruse with the pale pink really paid off. Thanks for the info on the artist, I remember we used to have a book of the Addams Family cartoons. I absolutely love the border die with the swag, so in keeping with the style of the ballerina. I can see an ornate Victorian room.
