Julie has challenged us to an Egg Hunt today. I struggled because I don't need any Easter cards. So I decided to go with a congratulations on your new nest card. I also tried the shadow stamping for the Technique Lovers' Challenge. I used my new WeR Precision Press and it was really easy to do the technique. I also really like how it looks on the nest. I stamped it first with London Fog and then shifted the paper and stamped with Rich Cocoa. The result was a really cool shadow on the eggs in the nest. I don't love it so much on the bird. But I also clear embossed the nest and the bird as a mask and then shadow stamped the evergreen branches with New Sprout and then Bamboo Leaves. I like the shadow stamping result on that too. Then I added some color to the eggs and bird with markers and for some reason decided I needed a blue sky. I think I liked it better before the blue sky though. I don't know. This card really started getting away from me and I just had to stop and find a simple DP to mount it on and call it done, or else it just wasn't going to be CAS anymore.
