This is for Sharon's VSN challenge - masking fools. I used two different masking techniques. This is the first time I used masking paper and I totally love it. I have always used post-it notes for masking and it works. But masking paper is a cut above! (pun intended) For my card, I stamped the ship and covered it with the mask, and stamped the dingy without fear of overlapping the curly rope too far onto the ship. Covered the dingy and stamped the heart so it looks like it's inside the boat and covered the heart. Using a cloud stencil (another type of masking technique as you cover or mask the part you want to stay white), I sponged the clouds all around the masked images without concern of getting clouds inside the lines. Then I watercolored the sea in different blues and colored in the images. I stamped the sentiment inside the heart. A whimsical card for someone who needs encouragement. Fun challenge. TFL

Diane you did a great job on the challenge! You should get brownie points for using two different kinds of masking!
This is such a pretty little scene, and I love your clouds, and your sentiment!
Thank you for playing my VSN Challenge!

Diane, you have made some of the cutest cards. I love this. You know, this would be great for anyone going through something, or like a little one who has to take a test and is nervous. I thought of my little step-granddaughter when I saw this!
