Congrats to PaperCraftBoutique, aka Hideko, for being Featured Stamper this week! I spent a LONG time in Hideko's gallery and favorited a bunch of cards, and I'll likely be back with one or two more, but I knew I wanted to CASE this card the second I saw it: PPA266 - happy birthday by PapercraftBoutique at Splitcoaststampers
I recently got a hexagon punch (yay 50% off coupons!) and went through my recipe box of small scraps and punched out a ton of hexagons. Fun, mindless activity! I have been looking for ways to use them so this card jumped out at me.
I pretty much duplicated Hideko's gorgeously simple design using hexagons punched from coordinating patterned paper, only adding a diagonal cut to the end of the paper strip and moving the button. Super quick and easy -- I have a feeling I will be making a lot of Christmas cards using this design.
Thanks for the awesome inspiration, Hideko, and enjoy your reign as Featured Stamper!
Edit to add: This is my 200th card posted, woo hoo! I guess I like hanging around this place

Thank you for your sweet words, and spending a lot of time in my gallery! I hope you enjoyed it. :-)
I love that you used different pattered papers for the hexagons, and I love even more that you chose similar "edamame" colors for the patterned papers, the strip of paper, the button, and the sentiment. Very classy Japanese look!
