I played with this card so much and I still can't decide if I like it. Also not sure it still qualifies as CAS. Let me know what you think...
I started with the idea of an Easter card using the bunny image colored so it could be either a real bunny or a chocolate one, plus an easter basket with sticker Easter eggs. Problem is, I don't have an Easter basket stamp! So I made one from some burlap tape (loving this stuff!). Tried different versions of the handle, or not having a handle at all, and this is the one I finally settled on. Next time I'm at Walmart I'm gonna get a roll of the wider burlap tape and solve the whole problem!
So I stamped the bunny, colored with a combination of markers and watercolor paint, and cut him out. I made a card out of plain white cardstock and attached a greenish-yellow strip of paper to act as ground/grass. I stuck down 3 Easter Egg stickers and constructed the basket over and around them, then added the bunny with pop dots. It still needed something so I added a couple more eggs on the ground next to the basket, and finished with a strip of the pink paper tape. My one Happy Easter stamp was too big to add to the front so I stamped it inside.
Like I said, still don't know how I feel about this one....I do like that it has the sort of aesthetic that Terry Gilliam's animations on Monty Python did, and I'm proud of figuring out the basket from burlap tape. Hmm...guess I do like it!
