Made a birthday card for my niece for her April Birthday for this week's Try a New Technique challenge! I started with a pinkish lavender card and did the baby wipe technique with blue and hot pink ink. It was okay but the wipe was a little too wet, making the paper curl so I had to flatten it under a book. If I did it again I'd leave the wipe in the air for 10-15 min so it's just a little less juicy!
After drying and smushing the card I layered on a piece of patterned paper (scrap, actually was Christmas paper but pink and frosty looking, can't remember maker, poss My Mind's Eye) and sponged blue ink on the Center and attached the unicorn (which is a magnet so niece can pull it off and use it! Target Dollar Place). I used Zots so the glue would come off the magnet pretty easily. Then stamped the sentiment (SavvyStamps) on a scrap of blue paper in blue ink and cut it out and adhered it.
Quick and eAsy cared, took longer to describe than to make! Thanks for a great challenge and a new technique that I look forward to playing with some more!
