Maura is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a combo that turned out to be both beautiful and easy for me! The colors are Marina Mist, Crushed Curry and Wild Wasabi. The dessert option is to be bold. I decided to be bold in a "different" way: I challenged myself to use a sketch for my card.
So here's the thing! One of our team members is a wizard when it comes to transforming a sketch into a beautiful card (Hi, Mary!). That is something I find very difficult to do! I looked at last week's sketch challenge, and said, "No Way!" But then I looked at all the beautiful cards in the gallery. Wow! What creativity!
I am giving myself a huge helping of dessert as a reward for this card, which I think turned out pretty cute and is fairly true to the sketch.
And in addition, I played with my new Distress Oxide inks again this week, and am so pleased with the panel behind my little girl.
I cut out the figure with my Silhouette Portrait. I think everything else is pretty self-explanatory!
Thanks for stopping by this week, and please play along with us!

Oh, Barbara - 3 cheers for you on going bold by trying the sketch!
I thought the same thing when I saw the sketch!
Your card is fabulous! Love the oxide bg, the paper piecing on the little girl, how your use of the sketch actually makes your whole card suggestive of a book - kudos, my friend!!
