I wanted to make a panel using Lydia's cling wrap tutorial from Wednesday, and I tried using gouache paints. It's fine, but it's way darker than I wanted so I used the cling to make a print on another piece of white card, and that's what I used here.
There was enough white space that I thought the sentiment might be strong enough to stamp directly on the base, but just in case I stamped it on vellum. And layered that over another piece of vellum which I embossed with the residue left in an embossing folder after using gelatos to stamp with it.
Turtle stamped twice, the body was sponged with brushed corduroy and highlighted in the spots with a gold gel pen, the shell was coloured with Twinkling H2Os and coated with two layers of UTEE, then popped up on foam. The base was sponged with black distress stain. I added a few sequins to finish it off.

I have been looking at this for the longest time taking it all in. I love the sense of texture and depth. The vellum panel looks beautiful against the dramatic background and sweet turtle. The sequins look gorgeous and must look even more special in real life (the sequins on my treasured Sabrina the Mermaid card, were sparkling like diamonds last night). xx
