Used the flower die from Stampin' Up!'s Flower Fair Framelits set to die cut the flower "hole" into the Whisper White front panel of the card. Then using the matching flower stamp from SU's Flower Patch set, stamped onto a piece of Wisterian Wonder cardstock using Versamark ink. Heat embossed the flower after covering with clear embossing powder. The embossed flower was then inserted into the die cut hole in the Whisper White panel, and kept in place using adhesive tape on the back.
The two butterflies were similarly heat embossed (with black embossing powder), and punched out with SU butterfly punches. The punches were used to punch holes into the white panel with the flower already inserted, then the butterflies were inserted (again backing them with transparent tape). The flower center was stamped from the same Flower Fair Framelits set after it had been heat embossed on Daffodil Delight with black embossing powder. A hole was die cut in the center of the flower, and the yellow center inserted (with transparent tape on the back to hold it in place).
The sentiment is from the SU Fifth Avenue Floral set. It was first inked with Versamark, then inked with Wisteria Wonder. After stamping on a scrap of Whisper White, it was heat embossed (to darken the color, and make it shiny). The sentiment piece was matted with Wisteria Wonder, then glued to the main white panel using Tombow Multi Liquid Glue.
Finally, the white panel was matted with Basic Black, then glued to the Wisteria Wonder card base.
I thought the sentiment went well with the butterflies who live briefly only once, but in glorious flight with beautiful wings! This card would be great for a birthday or other occasion when our friends need to be reminded to enjoy the one life we are given.
