I loved Linda's treasures on the sandy beach, her handmade paper seashells and the torn paper for waves. I missed doing the TLC challenge for making paper shells; Linda's beautiful card inspired me to give it try today. I used a scallop circle punch for one and cut the other one by hand. This card is going to a special young lady who is dealing with a serious health condition and loves the ocean. I wanted to make my card really sparkle for her. I stamped ripples in the sand, starfish, waves in VersaMark and heat embossed in a sparkly powder. I put Wink of Stella on the edges of the torn paper waves, the image & the shells. Changes: images & sentiment, colors. The Inkadinkadoo stamp is the ending of the renowned Footprints poem. Thanks for looking. Thanks Linda for sharing your wonderful artwork with us and for inspiring my card and more.

It's a beautiful card for anybody going through a hard time, serene, peaceful, encouraging. I like your combination of scalloped and plain shell and love the way you added pearls...I noticed quite a few people threw pearls into the mix, making me want to try that out some time.

No matter how many time I read that sentiment, it always touches me so deeply that I tear up! This is a BEAUTIFUL case of my card. The tiny watercolor scene is so soft & serene against the deeper hue of the torn paper waves. Your shells turned out great and The scattering of pearls is perfect. Thanks for visiting my gallery and finding inspiration there! Another one for list of fav's.
