When I saw EMS - Who is @ the Zoo in the gallery I knew I had to have a go at the monthly scraplift challenge. As I ended up using predominantly red and black on my LO I thought I may double dip and also put it into the VSBN #2 challenge too. (Said I was cheeky )
I started stencilling using a harlequin design I'd had sitting in my stash for a year...finally it broke free and I got very very inky fingers. Copying the design I edged the paper in black but it needed something else, so off I go tearing and inking. Now we were cooking with gas and I was having lots of fun.
The photos are from a modelling shoot our youngest son did many years ago...his one and only time...and I just love his smile in these photos. I photocopied the CD cover depicting him and the rest of the models and stuck this on a circle I die cut.
I decided to run with some patterned papers I had had sitting in my stash a long time....I seem to have a lot .....but which were perfect as they had that vintage feel and also had photo strips on them. The white bazill tag was already cut so I can't take credit for die cutting that.
I stamped some cameras, fussy cut them and edged them in black to give a vintage feel. The doily was another stash buster as were the metal and paper embellishments.
To finish it off I die cut some stitched hearts out of some white cardstock I sponged with the red ink. I was inking up big time! I didn't want to take away too much from the photos but added a small tag.
The hardest part of this layout was getting everything placed and stuck in the right place. I'd lay one piece and find it was in the wrong spot so had to undo it and start again. I had glue everywhere. It was worth it
Thank you for the LO to scraplift. There's so much talent on this site and I look forward to scrap lifting again.
Thank you also for taking time to look at my LO. Happy day
