WT624 = It's My Favourite - use your favourite stamp
I've wanted to get this card made since I saw Thursday's Ways to Use It challenge (to use your favourite stamp). "Snowy Postcard" is truly my most beloved stamp - so beloved that I actually bought a second one just in case something happened to it!
For this card, I stamped it twice - once in Archival ink for the outer frame because I was sponging it with Distress inks, and once in Memento ink for the inner image because I wasn't sure if blending with Gamsol was okay with Archival ink or if the Gamsol would make the Archival ink run (if anyone knows, please leave me a comment letting me know).
I sponged the frame in Distress inks, coloured the circle with a gold pencil, and coloured the holly with Distress markers, adding Glossy Accents to the berries. Then I fussy cut the inner image away and discarded it.
For the image, I coloured the Memento stamped piece with coloured pencils and blended with Gamsol. I then set it behind the frame and mounted on a white card base.
Using a Quickie glue pen, I went over all the snowy areas in the image and added a clear white glitter a local craft shop called "white snow glitter" (no brand name). To see a close-up of the glitter, please go to my blog post.
It's also for the February Fan Club Christmas Challenge "Home" and for my February quota for the Christmas Card Challenge.

Beautiful! I love it and except for the mounds of snow you have here, this is what it looked like all day at my house, but it melted so fast that it's all gone. Sometimes snow is better as a beautiful memory - especially when you are hoping for an early Spring.

I love this stamp as well. I have seen it many times in the store and thought oh I would love that stamp. Love the wonderful image, beautiful coloring and the inset image. The white snow is amazing on your card. I have white snow from TH but it is much thicker this looks perfect and not so thick. Beautifully done with that amazing image. Thank you so much for playing along in the challenge and bringing a favorite.

Ah yes, I love that stamp too. Got a great deal on it ..........$5.00 new at Michael's, then later it was being sold for $25.00. I love how you coloured the image too, making it look like a late afternoon sunshine.

Susan, this is outstanding! The color, the sponging and the wonderful snow you added. Sometimes the snow is gloppy but yours is so tastefully done! Glad I caught this one tonight. I need to dust my stamp off and use it again. It's been a couple of years since I pulled it out. This is SO inspiring!
