I have a really hard time with masculine cards. I have ZERO stamps specifically for guys. I found this deer in a paper stack... it looks like it's embossed in white on the wood look bg. The strip of leaves up the left side is also paper I found.
I used the wood grain ef on the rust colored paper, then gently drug the Close to Cocoa ink pad down the front several times so the raised areas caught the ink. I also distressed all the edged with the ink pad.
The Happy Birthday stamp is one an Alpha sister stamped for me and sent with a card. (Thank you Ina!) It was on white paper, so I added color to it using the DI. I cut the deer image with an oval die and popped it up on pop dots. It looked kind of bare though, so I punched several branchy leaves in a dark green dsp and the 3 glittery maple leaves and added all of that at the top of the oval.
This goes to my son in law, TJ, who is an avid hunter and also works for a tree trimming service... so I thought the deer and different leaves were pretty spot on for him.
Thanks for looking!! xoxo

This is a great masculine card. Love your deer image, and the strip of paper is perfect. I especially love how you dragged the ink pad over the wood grain embossing. Makes it look like real wood. Not seeing a hard time here with making a masculine card, it's awesome! {{hugs}}

What a fantastic masculine birthday card this is Jennifer! I am truly impressed with all you did to make this terrific card. It took a lot of things, and it all adds up to something fantastic! Your SIL will love it! Hugs! ~Karen.
