When I saw this sketch this morning, I thought of my Martha Stewart border punch and wanted to try fancy and elegant. I struggle with fancy and elegant. I'm much more of a cute, fun, and whimsical cardmaker. But I never make wedding cards because I never can get them classy enough.
So I picked out some pretty papers and chose this wonderful soulmate sentiment that I really love. I stamped the sentiment and die cut the circle with a polka dot frame to go with it. Then I punched that same polka dot DP for the ruffly bottom and went looking for elements 5 & 6. I found some nice shiny ribbon in a coordinating color and I had the idea to stamp something like a bouquet or wedding rings or something. But as I flipped through my stamp index I came across this set of bird blocks that I never use. I wasn't sure if it would work out, so I also punched something more wedding themed, but I fell in love with the little bird. Added some gold gel pen touches to my sentiment and bird image and popped the whole thing up on foam squares. I've actually made a wedding card that I'm happy with.

Love this sentiment. Like how you used that small stamp.

Elegant and oh so lovely. Wonderful sentiment, and great punch at the bottom. Sweet little bird. Yeah, I was late today.......grandson staying with us for a few days.
