When a little girl turning 4 asks for a card with a castle and a princess, what else to do but make a shaker card.
This is my first attempt and although I ended up covered in glue and sequins, I think Im getting the hang of this technique.
The background for the castle was a quick brush using watercolour paints. After stamping the castle a few sequins and hearts were glued onto the cardstock. So far, so good.
The frame has about 8 layers and this is when the real fun began. Some frames were stuck to my fingers, some tore and after a frustrating time trying to get some foam tape on the frame, I gave up and resorted to double sided tape....thank you Jennifer McGuire and her video for this tip
Every princess deserves a sparkly dress so stickles were added and also to the number which I'd coloured, then painted. By this stage I realised I hadn't included a sentiment and phew...just enough space at the bottom.
Note to self.....stamp inside the card first ðY~*.....Stickles takes time to dry.....so nothing for it but more sequins. The good news is it's very blingy and sparkly...just what a little 4 year old loves
It's not perfect and when I shook the card the sequins stuck to glue at the top and sides......oh dear.....but I'm sure our little 4 year old poppet will love it when she receives it later this week.
Thank you for taking time to look at my card. Happy day

This is the perfect pink princess card complete with castle and sparkle. A little four year old is going to be very happy with this. I admire your patience with the shaker side of the card.
