Since this card had the sketch, theme and embellishments specified, I looked through my Stampin' Up! collection and found the perfect "drinks" stamps - Happy Hour! I wanted the glasses to be black and the liquid inside to be the color of champagne, so I stamped the champagne glasses onto masking paper, and cut out the liquid portion. I stuck this liquid mask onto the stamp itself, and inked it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, peeled off the mask and stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I did this twice to create two "empty" glasses. Then, to create the liquid, I inked the stamp with Daffodil Delight and stamped two images on scrap Whisper White. I then used small paper snips to cut out the yellow liquid and glued them onto the empty glasses.
The vertical vellum panel is from Stampin' Up! Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack. I attached it to the black panel using Mini Glue Dots behind the snowflake centers.
The gold rick-rack was from my sewing stash. Believe it or not, I bought it in 1973 to decorate inexpensive satin Christmas balls for our first Christmas tree! See, you should NEVER throw anything away!!!! :-D I attached the rick-rack using Tear & Tape super sticky tape down the center.
The sentiment is also from the Happy Hour stamp set. It was stamped using Tuxedo Black ink onto a 1" wide strip of Whisper White. The "tail" was created using the second smallest banner thinlit die. I didn't run the strip all they way thru the die, though,,, just enough to cut out the tail of the banner. I placed narrow strips of Adhesive Foam Strips on the top and bottom horizontal edges of the banner so they would "straddle" the rick-rack.
The champagne glasses were attached with small pieces of Adhesive Foam Tape. The bottoms of the glasses were attached to the banner using rolled up "logs" of Mini Glue Dots.
Finally, the champagne "bubbles" were created with retired Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Great card, Donna. I love the way you've combined the challenges. Your sparkly additions are perfect for both the card and my Clean & Simple challenge with sparkle. I can just about taste that champagne. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
This is beautiful card Donna, I love the sparkling colours against the black. Stamping the glasses as an outline sounds fiddly, but worth it, they really leap out. And the sentiment is so apt! Thanks for joining in with the Christmas Card Throwdown. Lucinda (DT)
Your hard work has paid off, you have a lovely card. I'm not sure I've kept anything since 1973 but I may be wrong and certainly have some very old stash.
Thanks for playing along at Christmas Card Throwdown. Alison C DT

Simply a great card Donna for all three challenges. I love the "bubbly" paper piecing for the stem ware and the vellum is perfect. Thanks so much for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday CAS with Sparkle Challenge this week. Always a pleasure.
