Halfway through this project I remembered why I threw away all my Iris folding books and strips of paper 25 years ago - very time consuming cards to make . . .or maybe it's that I always manage to choose more complicated pieces ? ? ?

Awesome, Linda!! I love this technique and would like to see it come back! You did a wonderful job selecting designer paper for the boot design, and the iris being the same as the boot bottom is fantastic.

Oh Linda, this boot is amazing! I love the realistic leather foot part and the colourful upper boot. Love the sentiment too. My future daughter in law just got a pair of boots for her birthday and I would love to be able to send her a card like this.

i love your card, great choice of papers. i just did my first iris folding pattern. my husband cut out the pattern. ( i have double vision, so exacto knives are not my friends!) certainly not a technique i will do a hundred of, but nice to know i could accomplish it

Oh my gosh! Love your card! The light brown paper does resemble the color for cowboy boots & the patterned papers up top look like cowboy shirts (think I might have seen a shirt or two in these colors/patterns in my son's closet!) Beautiful card!
Beautiful!! Glad you decided to go back and give it a whirling booten scoot again, if not I would not have had the pleasure of such gorgeous iris folding ! Mahalo much for sharing.
