This is one of my very favorite places in Minnesota. It's Split Rock Lighthouse which is located north of Duluth on a high cliff overlooking Lake Superior. I've been there twice and toured the lighthouse which provided a panoramic view of the great lake. I also love the view from down below right next to the water. It's amazing! I have yet to go in the fall which is probably the best time to see the beauty of the North Shore. My bg is made from ink sprays to which I then stenciled some white texture paste. I also rubbed in some gold stickles and stamped a large script stamp in teal. I added gold embossing around the edge. The rest is pretty much self explanitory. Hope you like it!

Oh gosh, Polly, I love this! You've captured the gorgeous light and colour you showed in your photo. I think the cheesecloth is a perfect accessory, and love how you picked up on the green tree with the foliage die-cuts. And what a good sentiment to live by. I hope you get to go and see your lighthouse in the fall some time, it sounds like a beautiful place to visit.

This is a beauty! I love the dimesionality of it. The burlap and leaves behind the lighthouse, well, I would never have thought of doing that! Great mixed media card!

Wow Polly, I love this mixed media creation! The cheesecloth gives such a cool nautical look to the whole card. Love the leaves too and the texture of the bg.
