Pam's color challenge this week is Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder and Soft Sky. This card actually started back during Christmas vacation. I gifted my three granddaughters a coloring portfolio called Fashion Angels.Yes, Grandma bought one for herself...everyone needs a toy at Christmas. It shows you how to draw fashion from the body image to all the different styles of clothing, hair, shoes etc. Reminded me of paper dolls. They also show you how to create texture with pencil. Sketching the girl using graph paper....added the other features with a pencil. Scanned it, and now have a digital image. Colored with watercolor pencils and micron pen. Lastly added the sentiment. Sad to say, but all three granddaughters are not able to read cursive. We need to show them it is an art to do cursive writing. TFL

Times have really changed since none of them can read cursive....wow, I'm amazed! Beautiful drawing of this gal, Linda! Your shading is spot on and your clothing is quite stylish! Well done~

This is extraordinary, Linda, and how fun to do! Also, what a wonderful gift to your granddaughters! They do still teach cursive in my grandchildren's school and I'm glad of it.

Wow, what a nice image. I think I would like a book like that. Since I can't draw a straight line, that might help. I just love this. You are so creative. It is sad cursive hasn't been taught in schools since the 80's. I taught mine at home. I was at the doctor the other day and the check in clerk asked for an interpreter. She said "I can't read this ladies paper work". She said, "I don't know what language this is." I laughed and said, "cursive". She said, "where is that country"? That is why you have to print forms now. Soon we won't receive our mail.
Fabulous card, Linda! Love your drawing and lovely shading! You sure have a gift! It amazes me that they no longer teach cursive--of course so many people don't correspond, except with Facebook and such anymore and I find it so sad!
