This is for MIX 209. Okay, so I am not a glitter girl. I don't own any. So I seized on the work "sparkly" in the challenge description. Hence, you get sequins and metallic paper. They are sparkly.
This card had so many do-overs that I have honestly lost count. Lots of thing could and did go awry. Lots of dumb decisions were made. (I love doing inked EFs but you hardly ever get a clean print on your first try, and sequins are great but there's a point where you have to accept that they aren't going to solve your design glitches or cover all your mistakes so stop adding more already.)
It was one of those crafting experiences where I was sure this card was going into the trash until I suddenly saw how to finish it off. In two seconds it went from a "Forget it" to an "I've got it."
So here it is. Thanks, Anna, for inspiring me to make another card after such a long mojo-less hiatus.

How great to see a card from you, Robin! I hear you on the inked ef backgrounds, I tell myself to settle for imperfect when it comes to those. I think those glasses look absolutely wonderful on your shell lady.

So how many months did this take??? LOL So happy to see you after such a long break... I LOVE this Paper Artsy lady...she is so cool and the glasses are tres chic! I like the light color of the bg using the white on the ef...yes, I, too, know what you mean about inking and embossing together...it can be a challenge. The stenciled panel is super as a frame for your lady. Will we be seeing more?? I hope so

Robin, I enjoyed your description as much as I enjoy seeing your cards! What a novel design and love the combination of elements on this! Laughing too about the glitter- I bought some but many have never been opened!

This is such a cool card and I love it. Her glasses are awesome. Inking an embossing folder can get tricky, I agree. Loved reading your post...gave me a smile for the day.
