| | I made this card after I found out a colleague I used to work with was just diagnosed with cancer. She has had surgery and is now doing high-dose radiation. My heart just sank when I found this news out. I am not sure if it is harder to hear the words "you have cancer" or if it is harder to learn that a friend has cancer. I guess both are pretty hard. I have been holding her very close in thought and prayer and hoping like crazy she can get through this. I know what a difficult road it is and I am finding it difficult to be in the right place to be strong and encouraging for her and still be completely authentic too. I ended up casing my own card that I made a few days ago for the Teapotter's challenge because it seemed to fit the best what I am doing for her at the moment: Someone Cares by Art Deco Diva at Splitcoaststampers. She is not up for company nor phone calls and I totally understand that so I will be sending her cards. Receiving cards in the mail when you feel poorly and somewhat alone is just the best! Thanks for looking. ~Karen. |
