This is for the Alphabet Challenge letter V. The double challenge was to use 2 things beginning with V... I met that challenge, Valentine, Vintage, Vellum. Also for the Free for All, Make a Valentine challenge.
Ah, this one gave me fits. I almost trashed it! It was finished and I decided to try distressing. Ugh. I need LOTS of practice. I'm still not in love with it, but it is what it is.
I used dots ef on ivory cs, hearts ef on red cs. Layered those along with graphic 45 dp. I used the MS heart border punch at the bottom of the ivory cs. I had a really hard time getting it lined up. It's still not right. I used the spellbinders fancy frames tags two to cut the piece of vellum. I heat embossed the xoxo with gold ep. Then added a touch of gold stickles to make it show up more. I also added gold stickles to the 4 points on the vellum. I used 2 tiny heart die cuts from the border punch on each side of the vellum. I punched a heart with the MS heart doily punch and a solid heart with a misc heart punch. I dotted the solid heart with gold stickles. I added 3 gold sequins to add shine and the hunter green velour ribbon on the side to add interest. Then decided to wreck it all by distressing it with TH DI, antique linen. lol
I marked this a 3 mainly because I had SO much trouble with the MS border punch... not being able to line it up the way I wanted. Thanks so much for looking! =)

Awesome vintage valentine. Love the paper at the bottom. It's so pretty. The heart trim is lovely. Everything is wonderful. Very nicely done for letter V. TFS

What a beautiful shabby chic/vintage card. So many wonderful details. I love the texture of the two embossing patterns and the wonderful heart border. That Graphic 45 dp is gorgeous............a true vintage style. I'm glad you persisted and finished this beautiful card.
