Terrible weather here in Alabama so I could spend some time crafting and catching up. In the inspiration challenge (LOVE the Oh So Beautiful Paper site - wow - I have a million ideas floating around I my head), I found these awesome eggs:
So I decided to make a fried egg and bacon Valentine card (I am going to try that pretty Easter egg in a few months). I have instructions for the bacon here:
For the egg, I cut a fried egg shape out of some paper, then I used a SB circle die to make a cup circle with a stylus (where you go around and around with a large ball stylus tip until the paper kind of makes a cup). I flipped it over and used the die to sponge a circle to make the yolk. Then I covered the whole egg with a thick coat of gloss gel medium and a sprayed a bit of goosebumps spray. Then I fried the egg with a heat tool. Sponged a bit of chocolate chip ink on the eggs. So fun!! Wouldn't tiny eggs and bacon be cute?
Typed the background and sentiment in word and printed. Used some security envelop paper to make my strip (for the MIX challenge - I have ink, gel, and goosebump spray for my mediums) and flipped the heart from the sketch challenge into bacon and moved it to the other side of the sketch.
What a fun card to make - fooled a few friends with pictures of the eggs and bacon in a skillet - super fun!
Stay dry and safe today! Hugz
