Oh what a fun sketch this week. And I can check the box for Valentine. I did take a bit of liberty with my shapes...I used my large heart shaped 'window' for my second circle and a square Emily Browning 'How do I love thee' quote in place of the small heart. If you look closely, I hope you can see.
I was inspired by Nancy (nwilliams6) and Carol (Bobbiesgirl) to use corrugated cardboard on my card. Both do the recycled elements so well. I stamped the Great Impressions stamp with Stazon directly to the cardboard. You can pull the shutters open to reveal the Browning poem.
The star of my card today is actually the gorgeous long retired Basic Grey paper. Sandie (sistersandie) created a fantastic card using the DP Saturday and I had to go dig out a bit to use for my card today. I used another piece of DP for the I Love You. It is from a scrap of My Mind's Eye Valentine paper.
I am thinking this might be an anniversary for my humorous husband...we are celebrating 30 years on the 14th. He is most romantic.
Can't wait to visit the gallery and see all the inspired designs. Thanks for stopping by.

Susan, how great you used cardboard on this card. You used it so creatively - it inspires me to think of cardboard in a new way - wood-look. Love this heart and your romantic touches. I had this BG paper at one time and loved it, so I understand your draw to it. Happy Anniversary later this month. I know it will be a happy one. Hugz

How creative.....the gateway to your heart....literally and figuratively, Susan. Love the corrugated gate with the tiny metal hinges. And, of course, your bg is done in your artistic style adding to the whole aura of the card.

Congratulations Susan and Hubby! Your card is, as always, exceptional!! I love the corrugated heart, and that you figured out ahead of time how to make it have "hinges". Clever you. Hugs.
