That thing I did was sponge color onto an few cards that used the emboss resist technique. My DH stopped by to look at my cards and said of the sheet I had been sponging on, "I even like that piece". I thought it did have a sort of interesting pattern going on. So I cut it to size added some white acrylic splatters, some shading around some of them with water color pencils and some iridescent white dots and the flower center. Oh yes and a tag with a leaf growing out of it and the sentiment stamped on it. After I got the picture taken I thought I should add some sponging to the edge of the tag so it isn't so stark white and plain. Maybe I'll go back and do it.

Your card is really lovely Pat- your husband has excellent taste! I love all the things you did to create this wonderful bg and how you dressed it up with this flower and leaf die and your stamping. Hugs! ~Karen.

Love the looks of the sponged angular lines & shapes in the bg with the contrast of the circular splotches. Very effective to add shading to some with the darker pencil.

Love this, Pat! Sometimes scratch paper really does look great (and other times not do much!). I sort of hope you didn't go back and sponge the tag; I like the contrast. But if you did, I'm sure it also looks great.

Your scrap paper turned into a masterpiece! Love this angular effect you accomplished unknowingly...all of us will try it with purpose! Acrylic splatters are just the right contrast. Your simple flower and tag are just the right additions to finish with the leaves, both stamped and die-cut finish it off to perfection. Love this card!
