It seems forever since I uploaded a card to SCS! The holiday break slowed me down. Today I was inspired to create, and my uploaded card is submitted for the Clean and Simple Challenge, CAS410, and Color Challenge, CC616.
Our sweet Misti (Scraperwannabe) is hosting the CAS challenge, and she made it easy for us. She simply asked that we show her something "new" in our creations. My card's image is from the Penny Black Blooming Garden Stamp Set which is new to me. Thanks for the great challenge, Misti!
Our sweet Mary (MaryR917) is hosting this week's Color Challenge, CC616, and she gave us a gorgeous combination of colors for the challenge. Her combination is SU Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, and Dapper Denim. The "dessert" for Mary's challenge is also to include something "new" on our creations. Mary, you did a wonderful job in selecting the colors!
I colored the floral image in light and dark pinks and greens, using Copic Sketch Markers that closely match Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz. I stamped the sentiment in SU Dapper Denim and used a Dapper Denim Marker to draw a border on the image panel. As I stated above, my "something new" is the stamp set used on this card.

What a lovely clear and bold image so beautifully coloured! I really like the die cut frame for your gorgeous blooms! Your hand drawn framing brings the eye right to your sentiment! Great card!

What a beautiful new image you used, Bev, and you did a fabulous job coloring it. Love your sentiment and good job drawing around your image and sentiment. I'm sure mine would not be straight if I did that.
